Stop #1 – The Renowned Patisserie: La Boulangerie Moderne Location: La Boulangerie Moderne, Specialty: Pain au chocolat
Oui oui, it’s the one in the series. Look! I love this traditional neighborhood bakery with its pretty, gold-lettered storefront! It’s where she buys a pain au chocolat or croissant in the morning.
When the viennoiseries come out of the oven, humm it smells so delicious. The baker even won a prize for his butter croissant! Allez! Go there for a French baguette, croissant or pain au chocolat! Now’s your chance to try it out – everything here is exquisite and without fuss!
As we stroll to our next stop, we’ll pass by the Sorbonne, an iconic site of the city.
Stop #2 – The Authentic Chocolate shop: Location: Maison Chapon, Specialty: chocolate mousse
And it’s here that you’re going to taste one of my favorite things: chocolate mousse. And not just any mousse: the Maison Chapon Mousse Bar. It’s just one of the many unique flavors and aromas available here! If you like cocoa, bienvenue !
Chapon is a chocolatier who makes his own chocolate from cocoa beans. Madagascar, Ecuador, Venezuela, you choose… Notes of fruit and citrus, tangy flavors, a little spicy? Choose the flavor you prefer! In general, there are 5 to 6 flavors to choose from. Just let the sales assistant guide you according to your tastes. There’s even a chocolate mousse with almond milk. Make your choice!
They’re so generous here! You’ll be served by the spoonful in pots or even in a cone like an ice cream! You can even walk the streets with your mousse and enjoy it as you stroll through Paris! Delicious!
On our way to the next stop, we’ll pause for a photo at the Pont des Arts.
Stop #3 – The Café Kitsuné: Location: Jardin du Palais Royal, Specialty: Matcha Latte
This is the Café Kitsuné and its terrace in the Jardin du Palais Royal. Maison Kitsuné is a real concept that could have been imagined by SAVOIR ! Here, you can sip an espresso, a chai latte or a macchiato and enjoy pastries like lemon-cake, financier which an almond cake, muffins or a traditional carrot-cake.
But Kitsuné is also a true Art de Vivre. They’ve brought out collections of prêt à porter, accessories and even a music label, as well as cafés. “Kitsuné” means “fox” in Japanese. The fox is a mythical animal that can change appearance at will. It has been the brand’s signature logo since its creation. It adopts different shapes and colors as the seasons change. Maison Kitsuné also collaborates with a number of brands. So trendy!
